Birthdays

Space Shuttle cake for a lover of astronomy plus it was the last year of missions for the space shuttle.  We stuck some sparklers instead of candles for the full rocket burn effect.

A friend's 30th who love to travel.  The flags all represent places she's sent us postcards from.

Cupcakes which go along with the cutting cake below.  I loaned an acrylic stand for the cupcakes to be displayed on with this little cutting cake on the top tier.

A joint birthday cake for an adult tai chi enthusiast and a young gymnast

21st Birthday cake inspired by a Channel handbag.
Chocolate and a handbag in one - every girls dream surely?  ha ha!

A seriously chocolatey 60th Birthday cake for my dear old Dad.  The speed camera was my husband's idea.
Little chocolate bomb.  Piping with chocolate is interesting!

A treat for my deserving friend's Birthday
Embossed flowers dusted with colour were really effective
For a Mum who likes lilac as a favourite colour

Another joint birthday cake commissioned by a friends for her buddies who love Jazzercise

A very interesting brief this one which involved and RAF Helicopters
(this was my attempt at an RAF Puma) and a favourite band.
Modelling the Puma was tricky.  The hardest part by far was figuring out a way to include the rotors.  I elected to wire them using flower paste blades in the end but it was extremely tricky indeed.

 More lovely chocolate

Sunflowers Cake - A favourite flower
